I am a recent graduate of Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science, with a concentration in Archives Management. Previously, I worked as a marketing manager and graphic designer; these skills have greatly impacted the way I work at my current positions as Archivist/Registrar at the Newport Historical Society, and Digital Librarian at the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities. I am currently the project manager for the development of a Newport historical guidebook mobile web app, which is a privileged opportunity. I am in a position to be on the ground-floor doing humanities work for the people. I want to move beyond simple Omeka sites and into larger conversations about how we can make the humanities intersect with public good using technology.
