I studied Romance Philology and have taught and studied Medieval and Renaissance Literature, mostly Italian, for 25 years. I had very little interest in DH. However, a comedy project presented problems and potential that require a different method than the linear exercise of a book -- and I began to investigate various platforms for research, finally discovering TEI. My interests include linguistic history, Dante, Boccaccio, Renaissance Comedy, and more generally, challenges to the status quo.
