An undergraduate degree from Hampshire College in Literary Theory and Video, and an MFA from Columbia University in film led me to a fellowship in a foundry. I may be one of the few in the nation who has both worked with Julia Kristeva, and has studied TIG welding (and yet secretly yearns to be an organic farmer). Through some odd twists and turns, I found (while getting a PhD in Educational Technology) that I understood code and tree regression analysis. I've taught in higher ed. in the fine arts and with one foot in a computer science dept. and the other in education. I didn't love that straddle, and since have been working with faculty to support technology integration in a number of different settings. I read novels.
