THATCamp New England is grateful for the generous support of our sponsors

NERCOMP LogoNERCOMP, the Northeast Regional Computing Program has been an invaluable supporter of THATCamp New England. They have promised to provide $2ooo a year to THATCamp for three years. We are now in our second year of benefitting from their support and enthusiasm.

We thank Brown University and the Brown University Library for making it possible for  their staff to spend time organizing THATCamp New England 2012, for hosting it and providing space and audio-visual equipment. Brown, as a whole and the Brown library, in particular, have a long history of digital humanities activities, and they are very happy that they can also be part of THATCamp.

Microsoft Research LogoMicrosoft Research has provided more than $10,000 in support of THATCamp, $1,000 for THATCamp CHNM 2012, $500 apiece for many other THATCamps including THATCamp New England 2012, and the very welcome in-kind donation of a great many lanyards. MS Research has supported the work of Internet ethnographer and privacy scholar danah boyd, has produced useful open source tools for the humanities such as ChronoZoom, and has organized an annual Faculty Summit for the express purpose of bringing academic researchers and educators together with Microsoft’s computer scientists and engineers. We’re proud to be associated with them. Special thanks are due to Donald Brinkman, program manager for the Digital Humanities at MS Research, whose vision made this happen.

Salve Regina University LogoWe thank Salve Regina University and its MA and PhD programs in the Humanities for their generous support of THATCamp NE 2012. Their contribution of $500 is helping to feed THATCampers and to transport our more distant workshop presenters.

Thank you 001
