I'm currently in the second year of my PhD at Brown, studying interactions of rural and urban landscapes in pre-Roman and Roman North Africa. Before I started my degree, however, I worked for seven years as the head of the Digital Department of L - P : Archaeology, a heritage and archaeological consultancy based out of London, UK.

My work with L-P included consulting with a lot of research or community-driven archaeological projects on how to best use the web to communicate with a wider audience. Applications ranged from simple websites or tailored blog installations to more complex data structures. This work culminated in the company's development and release of an Open Source digital archaeological recording kit (ark), designed specifically to address problems in archaeological data and practice.

Given that my current coursework tends to the strictly archaeological, I'm looking for ways to stay involved in the digital world and continue to develop my interests in technology as I progress in my studies.
